This lovely piece of woodlands is bordered by MacFarlane Brook, where the river cascades down over broad rock shelves to form the famous waterfall (the other end of the property is Egypt Brook). A chance to own property around this awe-inspiring spectacle! Egypt Falls is mentioned in various guides and hiking books on Nova Scotia: Google it to see photos taken in all seasons.
A steel-sided cabin comes with the place; nothing fancy but a place to camp, warm and dry.
A road takes you 1.4 km through the property, then it's a 4 minute walk to the Falls. The easy way to get there compared to the posted hiking trail! The property is an old heritage farm dating from the 19th century, with a well and apple orchard near where the old house was located. Panoramic views of the SW Margaree river valley, facing south.
There is power at the road, and a good variety of building sites to build a house, or hunting/fishing cabins. The woods have old growth forest of hardwoods, pine and hemlock. Some harvesting of commercial softwood was done in the past.
