Lake Ainslie beach house....................................$475,000

This property boasts the best sand beach on Lake Ainslie. The house has been completely renovated and rebuilt: rooms have been opened up, every window and door replaced with high quality Polytech ones. Bathrooms are new, also the wiring, plumbing, decks, and heating system. 3 parcels of land together comprise 3.45 acres with over 1,000 ft of beachfront.

The property was formerly the  home of Allan J MacEachen, deputy prime minister, but would now be barely recognisable to a previous owner.

Many sets of glass doors and dozens of windows, all new, flood the interior with light. There are 3 or 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms, and decks on both levels. View from the upper deck is breath-taking.

As is obvious from the photos, the renovations are not quite finished. Sadly the owners who were getting close to completing their dream house now have to leave the country, and cannot finish the project.

All the structural work is done, all the windows and doors, the mechanical systems, decks, railings ...  all the heavy lifting is complete. Floors downstairs are not done, nor painting all over, but the materials are purchased and stacked inside ready to be used. Light fixture and other items likewise.

The kitchen is the only major item remaining to be supplied by the buyer.

A trailer built-in on the property has a two piece bath and a shower, and is on the same parcel as the house. No neighbours here, and there never can be: the south end of the property borders a park, and at the other end where Trout Brook empties into the lake it is a natural barrier.

You can walk for miles along the lakeshore, with wildlife, fish and birds - both bald and golden eagles are residents here, and the owner has often photographed them. Wonderful views up, down, and across the lake where the sun sets.

Property is surveyed and migrated.
